Happy Wednesday, loves 💗 I woke up on Sunday so inspired to create this teal and gold Easter table setting for you. I don’t know what it is about being in my third trimester but I’ve experienced such a surge in my creativity lately. The spring-y weather we had here lately definitely adds to that as well. It’s just so magical when nature awakes from her winter sleep as well as having more light throughout the day.
During December and January, I was barely able to make it out of bed in the morning because it was still so dark outside (and maybe because of pregnancy hormones). Now I’m waking up at dawn with the birds chirping, filled with energy and excitement to start the day. Sunday was such a day (ok, I was also incredibly hungry 🙊). Roman was still asleep and after I spent around an hour catching up on the latest on Popsugar and scrolling through Pinterest, I just couldn’t stay in bed any longer. So, I got up and prepared the chocolate for my Magical Easter Cakesicles.
I was just about done when Roman came into the kitchen. We then prepared our traditional Sunday Pancakes. I used the recipe for the Vanilla Raspberry Pancakes again as I’ve been obsessed with them ever since I created them for Valentine’s Day. I have to admit that I snacked on a few chocolate-covered dates to satisfy my hunger cravings until breakfast was ready.
It was a beautiful sunny Sunday and we had actually planned to make a trip down to the Chiemsee. But with me having so many ideas around creating this teal and gold Easter table setting, I was just not feeling it anymore. Ever since I found out about Human Design and that I’m a Manifesting Generator, I try to honor my design and live according to my strategy and authority. This means pivoting frequently and just listening to what lights me up in the moment. I can honestly say that it has been a game changer in my life and has also tremendously helped with my gut issues.
Thus, we decided that we would stay home so that each of us could work on their creative projects. And let me tell you: I was on FIRE! I was up on my feet the entire morning baking, deocarting, and taking pictures. It turned into one of the best Sundays I had in a long time and I secretly prayed to God that every day would be like this now.
Alright, now onto my Easter Table setting. When I first thought about the idea, I actually reminiscent whether I should buy a new set of plates. An idea tha that has been in my head for a long time now as I’ve always wanted some turqoise ones. In the end, I decided against it because with a baby on the way there are more important things to buy. Also, we don’t know whether we will move soon and I think it’s even more exciting to decorate our new home with all the things that bring me joy.
I ended up using our big plates by Villeroy & Boch that really made a great contrast to the green and teal tablecloth. So, everything worked out perfectly. As much as I love to buy new things, I’m equally excited about repurporsing what I already own and let it shine in a new light. I think battling a worldwide pandemic and being in lockdown so much the past year, taught me to use my creativity and utilize what I have on hand.
I hope I was able to inspire you to get in the Easter spirit and create a beautiful table setting for your loved ones yourself. Whether that be for brunch, lunch, afternoon coffee or dinner. Nothing brings me more joy than spreading happiness. And making your home a beautiful place as well as celebrating holidays to the fullest (even with restrictions being in place) brings more positivity into your life in times like these!
